RACE DAY SCHEDULE
Registration/check-in: 7-8 a.m.
Expo/Silent Auction: 8:00-10:30 a.m.
5K run/walk: 8:30 a.m.
1K run/walk: 9:15 a.m.
5K awards/drawings: 9:45 a.m.
Post Race Festivities: 9-11:30 a.m.
Individuals, friends, coworkers or anyone can register with a team. Choose a name and write it on all member's 5K registration form.
DATES AND TIMES
Race day: Sunday, July 12, 2020
Early packet pick-up: 4-5:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Sandpoint High School
The race is held at Sandpoint High School,
410 S. Division Street in Sandpoint, ID.
The following age groups are used for the 5K:
Adult 5K - $25
Adult 5K, on race day - $30
Kids 12 and under, 1K or 5K - FREE
Adult 1K - $15
Adult 1K, on race day - $20
Jacey's Race t-shirts given to all registered participants.
Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult
Strollers and baby joggers permitted
$200 will be given to the 1st place male and female overall winners. $150 will go to the 2nd place male/female, and $100 will go to the third place male and female.
Awards and prizes will be presented to the top three finishers in the 5K men’s and women’s races.
Recognition will also be given to the top three 5K men and women finishers in each age group.
Ribbons will be given to all 1K finishers.
Jacey’s Race is a community event specifically to help local families with children currently being treated for cancer, life-threatening or severe illness. Jacey’s Race is a timed 5K running race for persons of all ages, with prizes for the top three competitors of various age groups. There will also be a 1K walk/ fun run for children and parents that will not be timed. At the end of the race there will be tents set up with food and water, and free massages for racers. We plan on having a water slide, clowns giving out balloons, face painting, and door prizes. Jacey’s Race is free for children 12 and under! The race is staffed entirely by non paid volunteers. Via sponsorship and race entry fees, money will be raised to go primarily to families of children with cancer, severe or life-threatening illness, with gifts to Community Cancer Services and the Pediatric Department at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint.
