What to expect on race day

As we begin to see light at the end of this tunnel, we have high hopes that Jacey's Race 2021 will look similar to previous years. This year, we will host our usual 5K and 1K races. Our 5K race will be run with bib chip timing. Runners who feel comfortable may join us for the annual gun start at 8:30 AM on Sunday, July 11th at Sandpoint High School. If you are uncomfortable with a group start but would like to be chip-timed, we invite all runners and walkers to start the race in a staggered fashion, at your discretion, anytime between 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM. Water stations will be available on the course and at the finish line. If you prefer to run the race on your own, you may complete your run between July 4th and July 10th. Virtual racers are expected to monitor and record their own times. Please submit your time to us via email at jaceysrace@gmail.com by 11:59 PM on July 10th to be considered for awards. The 1K will begin at 9:30 AM at Sandpoint High School, on July 11th. The 1K is not timed and is open to all ages.

As always, children 12 and under are FREE! If we continue to see a downward trend in COVID-19 prevalence, we hope that many of our race activities will be reinstated. Our usual race activities include; expo vendors, including numerous booths from local organizations, a silent auction, and several children's activities - including, a cakewalk, water slide, dunk tank, face painting, sno-cones, and cotton candy. If we are unable to reinstate the usual activities, we plan to have the beneficiary tribute, lawn games, and race results, set up for participants, in a distanced fashion.

All race proceeds will go entirely to our beneficiary children and their families, and the organizations that we support.
