History of Jacey’s Race

Jacey's Race started in 2001 in order to benefit Jacey Lawson, then a 4-year-old girl with stage 4 Wilm's cancer. Following lung and kidney surgery, radiation, and 1 year of chemotherapy, Jacey is happy, healthy, and living in Sandpoint, Idaho. Jacey and her family are grateful for the support they received when needed, and her family and friends have decided to continue the race in order that others may benefit. Jacey's Race was run at the Boulder reservoir in Boulder Colorado again in 2002,2003, and 2004. Jacey's race is now resuming in Sandpoint Idaho, to help the children of Sandpoint and surrounding areas, suffering with cancer or other life-threating illness.
